There are so many ways to create a family, adoption is our choice. We are not choosing this route out of charity or as the next alternative, we are choosing it out of love in our hearts and minds. Having a child has brought much happiness and joy (and some tears and sleepless nights) to our family. We are raising our children to be kind and curious with an abundance of opportunities to grow and learn. Our children are being raised in a family that is multi-cultural, but grounded in firm values of gratitude, education, and inclusivity and most importantly of all, unconditional love from us and all those around them.
We really enjoy life. Both of us have interesting hobbies, wonderful and supportive family and friends and rewarding careers as healthcare professions. We have been very lucky to be able to experience so many new things together thus far and look forward to continue experiencing the world near and far as a family.
We have enjoyed more than ten years of marriage, marked with travel, celebrations with family and friends and those special everyday activities that form the glue of our relationship. We each have our own identities but are infinitely stronger together.
Beckett entered our hearts when we met his birth parents in 2014. He is a thriving, busy, messy, funny kind boy. If watching him interact with our friends’ babies and infant nephew is any indicator, he will be an awesome big brother.
